It’s just a few weeks to go before I move to Granada in Spain, home to one of the most incredible and one of my most favourite places in the world, the Alhambra. After seventeen years living in London and a couple in Italy, my wife and I have decided to have a new adventure and a complete change of lifestyle.
Why now? Because it’s something that we’ve always wanted to do, we enjoy moving (though some people think this rather unusual) and although London has given us so much over the years and it has been an incredible place to live, it now feels like the right time to move on to a place full of new and exciting opportunities and a different kind of incredible…
Why Granada? Because it’s a beautiful place surrounded by beautiful places. We’ve visited a few countries where we have loved the history, culture, food, people, architecture and ambience, but it feels like there’s something strangely unique about Granada and Andalucia in general that we’re looking forward to exploring even further.
It feels good to be looking forward to the future and I think this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship…
Have you made any Spanish friends in Granada since the move?!

Hi Tara. Yes we have. Like moving anywhere, it takes a while to get to know the lay of the land and the people. We’re developing a nice mix of Spanish and English speaking friends. It’s a beautiful city to live in so making these connections makes the experience even better.
